Panda Typography

This is similar to my last weeks post, and I just think they're all amazing. I love how the word "panda" is all arranged and placed perfectly to create a, well, panda!

I honestly don't really have much to say about this other than it's absolutely brilliant. It definitely can speak for itself. I was just browsing typography on the web and came across this image and have been having fun staring at it and wanting to re-create something like this myself! It's fun and inviting and evokes such creativity. Typography rocks.

I love how all this type can make up such an accurate image of a shoe. It's so realistic and so creative, and the 3 "i"'s are a clever use of art.

Trees Trees Trees

Since I've kind of been obsessed with working with whimsical trees for the Story Shop logo and book cover, I immediately was drawn to this typographical tree. I love how there are so many variations of type that form this very realistic looking tree, and they all flow so nicely together as well. The way the white words and the dark background work to create the leaves and shadows of the tree is genius.

This is obviously a Harry Potter book cover, and since we're starting to design book covers in class so I thought this would be appropriate. I love the Harry Potter books and they came to my mind because of how creative and whimsical they are, especially the cover art. The typography evokes emotion and is very imaginative.

This is a Russian ad I found on the internet. I love how the whimsical lines create the shape of the text. It's sweeping motion gives it a lot of movement and it creates a lot of energy.

Variety

I was drawn to this image because it looks like something I did in my Design/Media Principles class last semester. I love how your eye just moves along the page with something new to see every time you look around the page. I love how much variety you see with the type. Very successful image!

I was drawn to this picture because I think it's awesome that the designer made Darth Vader purely out of letters. It's very clever and it works very well. I only hope I can create something this cool and clever someday!

Breaking the Rules

I really love this design because it's all about typography and how unique the layout of the type is. It really catches your eye and makes you look twice to trace your eyes around the word "rules". I think it's very clever and is very inspiring!
